Real Estate is our focus however in the 11 years we’ve been servicing the Portland real estate market, we have grown an extensive Property Management business as well.

We also own and operate a separate maintenance company that services our PM clients and real estate listings.

In the role of Director of Accounting you will wear many hats in order to keep our multiple businesses operating at full capacity.

You must be very organized with a strong attention to detail.

We are looking for someone who is people oriented and a problem solver.

You must be able to prioritize your workload and shift your focus to items that come up that need immediate attention.

Some of the key functions that you will be responsible for on a daily basis include:
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for 250+ properties, including work orders, rent, security deposits, tenant chargebacks, mortgage and HOA payments, utilities and all office bills

Verify rental and property management contract details to ensure accurate assessment of fees
Receive and process real estate commission checks based on independent contractor commission splits/expenses
Track all business expenses; closely monitor P&L and budget to ensure company profitability

Full accounting and reconciliation of multiple clients’ trust accounts, business bank and credit card accounts in Quickbooks and Appfolio
Year-end 1099 and W-2 processing
Process payroll for both Tindell & Co and HM Tindell LLC

Assist with office and business documentation and Secretary of State renewals

Perform all functions of employee hiring and termination; suggest and implement company and employee policies; conduct employee interviews, reviews, and training

Schedule meetings, event planning, maintain calendar, general office duties

Position demands ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize workload, being technologically savvy and consistent accuracy
This is a comprehensive list of daily duties and responsibilities, but your workload will vary on a daily basis, and as the Office Manager, you will be expected to have the adaptability and flexibility to accomplish new tasks as they are assigned to you.Benefits include: PTO, 50% EE contribution Health Benefits and Costco Membership.

We also offer a 2% team bonus based on PM fees collected each month, after 90 Days of employment.**

Pay: $24.00
– $29.00 per hour
