Customer Support/Service Manager

You will work as a Customer Service/Support Engineering Manager for a successful and growing medium sized company.

In this role you will oversee both internal and external Technical Support/Field Support Engineers to maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction for hi-tech electronic test equipment.

You will also be involved in managing and upgrading company service ticket/tracking processes, hiring and training service personnel and acting as an effective and professional leader for company service operations.
This is a long-term direct hire position based in the Portland, OR area.
The client requires all candidates be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or similar highly preferred, five years+ experience in customer service in an electronics industry company, MBA/MS degree desired
Must have 5 years supervisory or management experience, 10 direct/indirect field support Electronic technicians combined between in-house facility, UK, Japan, China, and remote
Experience with fiberoptics, opto-electronics, metrology, test an measurement equipment of semiconductor equipment industry preferred
Knowledge and ability to help select new and/or upgrade current ticket based issue tracking software and resolution system for tracking customers, training, assembly and part/component issues, etc.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and have daily contact with customers service personnel and customer when needed for contract, service and pricing activities, order administration, etc.

Also internal communication with engineering and marketing for NPI
Ability to select, hire and train service personnel; ensure service tickets are handled efficiently internally and externally, prepare/upgrade training manuals, quality improvement
