As Director of Technical Program Management at Salesforce in the Commerce Cloud Engineering team, you will work on multiple special projects including large scale umbrella projects to drive anything from security best practices to new innovative technologies or processes including working with key executives and partner teams to integrate with their engineering roadmap and deliverables.

This role is a key stakeholder in preparing our engineering, support and field teams to confidently deliver for customers during peak events.

You will need to update and maintain structure, requirements and roadmaps with changing needs.

You must be comfortable with ambiguity and can continue to rally distributed teams behind a program vision, even if it’s not clearly defined.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive and lead teams through complex programs related to Security, Scale, Customer enablement and Availability

Translate business objectives into execution practices (tactical and strategic); lead and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership

Work with multiple delivery teams to take ownership and accountability of technical program planning and delivery for commerce cloud

Develop trusted relationships with key technology, functional leaders and partners to drive focus on the strategic program objectives and optimize program delivery.

This includes supporting and holding resources accountable for their responsibilities within the program

Ensure data is collected to appropriately advise decision making for mitigating risks and resolving issues

Utilize internal tools and agile approach to build a collaborative environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation and continuous improvement

Drive a continuous focus on developing software based solutions or using automation to replace repeatable, operational tasks

Anticipate and purposefully remove obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering on program objectives.

Drive for clarity to keep teams moving forward

Provide “go-to” leadership, clarity and visibility to the entire commerce cloud and support organizations

Seek to continuously grow by proactively seeking and adopting constructive feedback

Create a collaborative environment that cultivates creativity, innovation, and learning

Be a thought leader within the organization, and help advance our Security, Scale and Availability postures

EXPERIENCE

10+ years of enterprise software/technical program or Technical Operations management experience at an enterprise technology company

Strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills.

Expertise in being the hub of execution across all functions of the organization

Ability to understand technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program

Able to work well in a cross-functional, geographically distributed environment

Comfortable bending between the tactical and strategic

Ability to manage/juggle contending priorities without loss of efficiency

Strong quantitative and analytical skills, demonstrable ability to track and execute engineering programs

Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; in a cross-functional, matrix management environment

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior leaders and technical and non-technical team members alike

Ability to collaborate with multiple technical functions in the areas of infrastructure, support, distribution, technical operations, and software engineering

Experience framing, establishing and implementing large-scale (enterprise-level) program initiatives

Bachelor's Degree required; Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field

DESIRED SKILLS

Program experience working in complex, high availability 1P and Cloud environments

Ability to quickly learn Salesforce applications to build tools and reports

Masters in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is a plus

PMP certification is a plus
