Job Responsibilities
Plans facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs.
Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.
Other Job Responsibilities
Responsible system owner for overall site facility gas and chemical infrastructure and accountable for results associated with decisions that affect it
Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and reporting loads on all systems you’re accountable for from main distribution down to point of connection (POC)
Manage and approve all POC modifications and ensure any contractor installations or modifications reflect internal documentation
Based on load tracking, assure adequate capacity of your systems is available to support business growth either based on forecasts or prior run rate
Identify infrastructure improvements which drive operating costs down, and/or support a more robust gas and chemical system integrity enhancing business uptime
Must possess advanced troubleshooting skills supporting the operations team when needed and be able to train technicians in the field using strong communication skills
Generates/updates Standard Operating Procedures for process systems
Generates/updates Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and Sequence of Operations for process systems.
Develops, maintains, and updates Lam’s technical/construction specifications for process systems equipment and materials of construction.
Support weekly Chemical Request Form / Chemical Information Management System review and approval process.
Ability to work off hours and/or weekends if needed to support the operations team, or project deliverables on time while ensuring highest quality standards
Responsible for monitoring and reporting quality of high purity gas and water systems using outsourced analytical lab testing.
Manage and report on expense and capital budgets associated with outsourced contracted positions supporting the gas and chemical infrastructure
Active Participation in review/approval of Site Incident Prevention Program requests
Willingness to travel both foreign and domestic
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Chemical engineering and 8 years of industrial experience (design and/or operations), or MS in Mechanical engineering with 4 years of industrial experience (design and/or operations), (Professional engineering license a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of experience in semiconductor industry
Demonstrated history of strong ownership
Strong organizational and communication skills, and ability to interact with internal customers efficiently
Strong solution provider mindset with ability to drive solutions for our customers when challenges arise
