Position at Hussmann Corporation
Work with the other members of the StoreConnect design team to develop, implement, and maintain back-end APIs for an IoT-based data analytics platform.
Individually responsible for the development, implementation, support, and integration of new interface tools to support the retrieval and distribution of StoreConnect data.

Primary development will be in Python and requires some experience with both SQL and no-SQL databases.

Also responsible for the integration, test, and support of the newly developed software.
Role and Responsibilities
Design and develop the back-end APIs for all internal and external StoreConnect data retrieval and distribution
Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
Integrate with existing data storage solutions and data access APIs
Develop tests to verify integrated solution
Write robust code that can operate in 24/7 processing environment
Participate in the review of the work of other team members
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or comparable certification
2+ years of progressive back-end experience
1+ years proven track record of programming in Python and being able to provide back-end solutions for complex, data rich applications
Experience with developing web-based APIs for data retrieval
Experience with one or more of SQL, document databases, graph databases
Familiar with NumPy
Familiar with developing, integrating code into an existing code base, and using version control
Additional Preferred Skills
Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
Strong communications and documentation skills
Familiar with cloud computing and cloud hosting services
Familiar with Linux environment
Familiar with commercial refrigeration systems
Familiar with Matplotlib or other graphing packages
