Responsibilities:
Manage the plant’s production performance, production planning and utilization, policy compliance, and employee training and development.
5-lines, 2 shift, 200+ employees, 10 direct reports.
Achieve department goals, increase line efficiency, maintain plant standards, processes, and quality systems.
Manage assigned fixed overhead monthly and annual budgets, controlling and minimizing overtime, reduce and limit spending.
Improve on the continuous improvement and TPM activities.
Support and retrain Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Root Cause programs aimed at supporting, maintaining, and increasing productivity, safety, and quality
Coordinate all production schedule requirements which meet daily / monthly sales and efficiency targets.
Establish regular production line staffing which ensures continuous operations
Analyze daily production schedules and product mix to maximize target performance objectives.
Monitor production material requirements and work with Warehouse, Production Planning and Purchasing to ensure availability.
Report daily plant production / productivity issues and results to the Plant GM.
Monitor plant employees for GMP, HACCP and FSQA compliance.
Reduce procedural violations identified by USDA or FDA authorities.
Responsible for developing a high productivity workforce through hiring, training and performance reviews.
Ensure annual training, safety related activities for 100% participation and completion by all production employees.
Achieve a zero-safety accident / incidence for all areas.
Qualifications:
BS/BA and at least 5+ years related food manufacturing experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Thorough knowledge of USDA, FDA, OSHA, HAACP and SQF requirements.
Proven ability on managing finances, production scheduling, resource planning, inventory and building strong teams.
5-day, 1st shift.
Salary $100-110K, up to 20% performance bonus, company medical, dental, vision, 401(K) with matching, 2/3 weeks’ vacation, company relocation program.
