Remote Online Sales Specialist

Overview:
The HP Online Sales Specialist is responsible for interacting directly with customers through retailer sites. In this part-time position, the online sales specialist will answer questions, attach supplies and upsell products based on the customers’ needs. In this role, it’s imperative to have a keen eye for detail and a customer service attitude. As an HP Online Sales Specialist, you will ensure that all questions asked on a retailer’s site either through chat or the designated QA sections are answered. Chat interactions specialize in quickly responding to customer concerns and questions while positively representing HP through text-based conversations.

Job Description:

  • Greet all customers in a timely and professional manor utilizing the eCommerce platform
  • Research and qualify customers for the best solution
  • Drive sales of all client products on supported retailer sites
  • Accurately document and report sales
  • Liaise with client product groups/quality control/other support teams when unable to find relevant information
  • Identify dot com product description issues
  • Provide sales support to the internet channel (increase online sales by focusing on customer’s needs)
  • Builds strong partnerships across supporting departments and operations
  • Additional initiatives as requested

Qualifications:

  • Must be tech savvy and enjoy working with interactive technology
  • 1 year of experience in sales and customer service is a plus
  • Requires strong interpersonal and persuasive skills in order to communicate effectively with customers & prospects, as well as ability to overcome objections to close sales
  • An engaging, outgoing personality and passion for helping customers
  • Ability to communicate well
  • Excellent analytical, decision making and organizational skills
  • Strong typing capabilities and PC proficiency essential for chat responsibilities
  • Displays strong multitasking capability to support engaging chat dialogs with concurrent online customers
  • Strong time management skills with a keen eye for details
  • Superior client service and demonstrated ability to grow client relationships
  • Ability to translate client goals and demonstrate value through digital plans
  • Experience with Bazaarvoice, Zendesk, Powerfront and/or social listening platforms is a plus
  • Strong research skills and ability to translate the research to a solid presentation
  • Must have reliable home PC setup to run online based programs
