As a Regional Sales Manager, Drives Service West, you will drive the sales performance of Drives Service in Motion, specifying and implementing effective sales and business-development initiatives in line with global strategy.

Reporting to the Director-Sales & Marketing, Drives Services, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of Drives Service sales strategies in their assigned territory of the United States. Primary responsibilities include executing service sales plans, providing sales growth to achieve service sales goals specifically for the Drives Service Sales team. This will include managing and mentoring Drives Service Regional Sales Engineers, Application Engineers and Business Development Managers in the assigned territory.

Your responsibilities

  • The Service Sales Manager – Drives Service will assume responsibility for MOSE’s Service sales activities, focusing on their assigned territories for Drives Services covering the service sales portfolio
  • This includes working with assigned personnel in the execution of the strategic blueprint to ensure the business sales focus initiatives are met and the sales strategies provided by the Business Line leadership are executed for market growth
  • Personnel Management of sales team in the assigned territory and Provide feedback to staff regarding mid-year and annual performance via ABB HRGT system, Accurate sales forecasting for assigned territory following Salesforce.com requirements
  • Provide regular coaching to team members, Deliver any performance improvement plans as necessary to team members, Hiring activities as positions arise, Working with sales team and customers who have ABB Drives or legacy GE Drives installed at their facilities, providing ABB Solutions to increase the ABB Drives install base
  • Achieving targeted sales and profitability levels in existing markets, successfully penetrating and meeting sales growth and profit goals in targeted new markets and Provide necessary feedback to marketing and product development to ensure – Customer needs and preferences in existing and new markets are being met
  • Activities of competitors and needed responses are understood, Distribution channel activity, changes, and potential opportunities to increase efficiency, or add value to customers by utilizing new distribution methods are properly supported
  • Work to expand the needed sales culture, ensuring that we are matching the needs and receptiveness of customers in the varying market segments and Work in a cross functional capacity, between sales and marketing to grow the service market for ABB Drives Service
  • Monitor progress against targeted strategic and operational goals and oversee development in implementation of needed correctives actions, Sales quota – 35M

Your background

  • Bachelor degree and 12 years of Business to Business sales experience required.
  • At least 4 years of supervisory or management experience required.
  • 75% travel required.
  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives and the applications it supports, service sales and GE Legacy Drive knowledge preferred.
