What will you do as an Office Specialist?
You’ll work closely with professional advising staff developing programming for first
– and second-year honors college students.

You’ll work with the CHC’s Academic Residential Canvas site, learn how to build community virtually and how to support students with valuable face-to-face activities.

The CHC is growing, and you’ll get in on the ground floor of exciting advances in student support.
You’ll be the face of the honors college when working at the CHC Reception Desk.

In addition to helping prospective students, the CHC student body, faculty, staff and building visitors, this position has direct oversight of our student workers’ environment, activities, projects and day to day operations.

You will help oversee student employees, take part in their evaluations and goal setting, establish the work schedule and facilitate team building techniques and activities.

Whenever the honors college loses reception desk student workers to graduation there is always a long list of applicants to fill open positions, a testament to the fun, professional and skill developing environment present at the CHC Reception Desk.
Honors College staff work hard and support each other.

Who are you?

(Minimum Qualifications)

One year of general clerical experience which included typing, word processing or other generation of documents
OR

Completion of courses or training in Office Technology
OR

An equivalent combination of training and experience

Clark Honors College is a liberal arts honors college of roughly 1,200 students within the University of Oregon.

Founded in 1960, it is one of the oldest public university honors colleges in the United States.
