The Customer Service Representative is responsible for processing orders for reagent chemicals received by telephone, fax, E-mail or mail.
Receives orders for reagent chemicals via facsimile, email, phone or mail and inputs necessary data into order entry system.
Contacts customer if there is additional information needed or there are any anticipated issues that may arise from completing the order.
Primary Duties:
Talks with customers by phone to receive orders for reagent chemicals and inputs necessary data into order entry system.
While taking order, informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
Responds to non-technical questions concerning info such as MSDS, CofA sheets, etc.
Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
Assists in maintaining customer information in various systems.
Sets up accounts in SAP for new customers.
Qualifications and/or Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to fully understand the SAP system software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Must be able to utilize appropriate communication methods (Microsoft Teams, Nextiva Phone System, and Outlook email) so employees can stay connected with managers and co-workers.
Must type minimum 45 words per minute.
Ability to learn & understand basic chemical names.
Must have strong and reliable internet connection and the ability to work from home.
Must have a suitable workspace free from interruptions and an environment where inbound customer calls can be taken.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
