Cloud Sales Engineer

Job DescriptionThis is a commissioned sales position responsible for building and maintaining pre-sales technical relationships with key stakeholders at several Next Wave Cloud Service Providers and their operating businesses.As a successful candidate, you must possess:
– The ITS must be capable of: building strong, direct relationships with senior technical contacts, comprehend Intel architectures and fellow traveler solution offerings targeted at cloud service provider infrastructure, strong position at Intel as the trusted advisor in solving challenging technical and business problems.
– This person must also be self-motivated, self-sufficient with the ability to stay current on emerging industry trends, technologies, and issues.
– The candidate must have excellent presentation skills and experience selling into Enterprise or Communications, IT customers would be advantageous.
– This person must be comfortable working at senior levels internally and externally.
– Presentation skills and the ability to understand, specify and communicate requirements to marketing and engineering teams.
– Strong interpersonal skills with proven track record of cross group collaboration.
– Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment and to achieve high quality results.
– Excellent time management and organizational skills are needed in order to prioritize tasks in a very interrupt driven environment including pipeline management.
– Good relationship building skills are necessary, including the ability to build a rapport and communicate effectively with all levels of Intel and the customer.
– The Candidate needs to be able to integrate technical, business, market and environmental conditions into a compelling solution that meets the needs of Intel and the customer.*Willingness to occasionally travel for customer engagements and eventsHere’s what a day in the life might include in the Industry Technical Specialist, ITS role:
– Provides advanced solution knowledge of Intel’s platforms and technologies and acts in a trusted advisory capacity to the customer.
– Builds trusted relationships at all levels of the organization, including key account executives.
– Requires a thorough understanding of the customers’ business and technical problems and must be able to demonstrate how these can be solved through the use of Intel-based solutions.
– As a technical resource in the customer the role will cover business transformation objectives defined by the account team and partners in the business units to drive awareness and early adoption of new Intel technologies, platforms and solutions.
– Working alongside the Account Executives, the role will be responsible for ensuring the success of our Compute, Storage, Networking, Artificial Intelligence and Adjacency growth objectives as well as developing new opportunities around Intel’s key growth strategies.QualificationsYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorshipMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with a relevant technical discipline or related experience.2+ years of technical experience or knowledge with:-Current trends in Cloud Service Providers business model and instance evolution-Data Center infrastructure, including compute, server & storage platforms, Virtualization, AI and Analytics.-Understanding of business model with Original Equipment Manufacturers, (OEM) and/or Original Device Manufacturers (ODM) partners and the ecosystem who service customers in this segment.-Working knowledge of open-source softwarePreferred Qualifications:2+ years, preferably with sales experience directly related to CSPs or OEMsCloud certification(s) a bonus (AWS, GCP, Azure)2+ years of working knowledge of IT software deployment methodologies, including workload optimization and modernization.Inside this Business GroupIntel’s Sales and Marketing (SMG) organization works with global customers and partners to solve critical business problems with Intel based technology solutions.
