Friday to Tuesday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Days Off: Wednesday and Thursday)
Thursday to Monday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Days Off: Tuesday and Wednesday)
Our Bread Crew is a group of friendly folks that work very hard and have fun doing it!
Our bakers make all the bread that we use for our sandwiches and burgers at every single location… fresh every day.
In an average production week, we are talking: 1,300 baguettes; 1,800 hamburger buns; 1,500 sandwich loaves!
We are looking to hire a Bread Baker to enhance our bakery team in this high-volume production –
– someone with a quick mind, attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
You also need a passion for scratch artisan baking!
If you have good experience proofing, rotating, and using convection and deck oven, this is a great opportunity!
This position requires mathematical accuracy, a good sense of timing, and a lot of hustle.
Consistency is key in a high-volume bakery, so bring you’re “A” game every single day.
Job description:
Use a proof-box, rotating ovens, deck ovens and convection ovens as needed
Following daily numbers and last minute orders for production
Proper proofing, baking and scoring of baguettes
Using a table sheeter to sheet biscuits
Baking off large amounts of bread and pastry items in a strict timeline, according to store and catering orders
Keeping your area clean and following cleaning guidelines for the bakery
Follow daily numbers and last minute orders for production
Properly label and date products for later use
Communicate with the pastry/bread managers to ensure no production/scheduling conflicts
Other duties as assigned
Minimum requirements include:
At least 1 years’ experience baking bread or pastry preferred (or Culinary School Degree)
Able to lift 50lbs.; bend, twist, stoop with ease; stand for 8 hours (with reasonable accommodation)
Good instincts with baking and proofing breads
A great team-spirit and positive attitude
Must be able to work with speed and efficiency to ensure items are baked off and cooled before they are needed by AM production
