Skillset: Windows Server Administration, ADSYF, SSL, IIS, Power Shell, VMs

Services Experience: Production Support / Application Maintenance Agile Kanban

S.No Roles and Responsibilities

1 Managing Physical and Virtual machines( in terms of hardware, disks, logs, performance, windows services, file and folder permissions, server hardening, OS and vulnerability issues and patching etc)

2 OS Troubleshooting( Memory dump, event viewer, RCA, security, Registry, Clustering)

3 Configuring and administering Windows based applications(IIS, SQL, .Net etc.)

4 In depth knowledge on IIS Application pools, worker process, Bindings etc.

5 SSL and Encryption certificates

6 FTP and SFTP knowledge

7 SSH and PGP keys

8 DR process

9 Windows PowerShell scripting knowledge

10 Active Directory(Creating Users and groups, permissions, Delegation, OU, replication)

11 Storage concepts(SAN and NAS)

12 Backup

13 Networking( OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite, VLAN, LAN, WAN)

14 Firewall Concepts

15 DNS( Types of DNS records, DNS Zones, Forward and Reverse lookup)

16 VMWare( Creating a template, cloning, vmsnapshot, VMotion, SVMotion, portgroups etc.)

17 Database concepts( SQL database backup and restore, running queries, creating an ODBC connections, SQL ports etc.)

18 Join Production Support emergency calls and resolve priority 1 and 2 incidents

19 Work and resolve priority 3 and priority 4 incidents

20 Deploy new versions of the applications to production environment

21 Coordinate patching activities

22 Monitor batch jobs and ensure batch jobs are completed as per the scheduled time

23 Monitor logs and respond to the alerts.

24 Requires a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty and 8-11years of experience in the field or in a related area.
