Chief Financial Officer

Company seeks a mission-oriented, dynamic, strategic finance professional to lead the Finance Department and work with the Executive Leadership Team to build Company and expand our impact.

The CFO is responsible for leading the formulation and execution of financial strategy, and oversees all financial management for Company and affiliates, including off-balance sheet funds.

The CFO supervises a team of 8, and works closely with members of the Executive Leadership and Senior Management teams.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Company’s mission, and highly experienced in financial management and analytics.

At this time, we can only consider applicants with authorization to work in the United States on a permanent, full-time basis; unfortunately we cannot provide visa sponsorship.

Key responsibilities include:
Manages all financial operations (financial planning, accounting, cash management, investments, audit and fiscal functions) of the organization, including affiliates, and positioning Company for strategic growth and planning in line with annual and long term goals.

Accurately record, analyze, and forecast financial assets (loans), loan capital, assets under management, and related revenue streams.

Establishes and maintains an appropriate system of internal controls, and oversees the annual financial audit and 990 filing.

Oversees the development, implementation and oversight of financial tools, systems, and transparency practices for smart financial decision-making throughout the enterprise and provides critical financial and operational information for Board, CEO, senior management team, and funders and investors.

Supports strategic planning/long range forecasting at the organizational enterprise level.

Develops, refines, and implements financial strategy and financial forecasting tools.

Leads an integrated annual budgeting and planning process and multi-year financial scenario planning.

Leads the integration and efficiency of financial management, employee expense, and accounting software tools.

Provides guidance to management of structured fund vehicles.

Maintains situational awareness of economic conditions, industry standards and market trends.

Staffs the Board of Directors Finance/Audit Committee; assists in developing committee objectives and meeting agendas, and prepares information and materials for board and committee meetings.

Preferred qualifications:
10+ years of progressive experience in financial management, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and cash management.

Demonstrated ability to develop financial strategy, including projections, modeling, and profitability analysis across business lines.

Experience accounting for, analyzing, and forecasting financial assets and liabilities, and related revenue streams a must have.

Experience in one or more of the following industries is required
– Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), Financial Services, Asset Management, Financial Technology (fintech), or non bank financial entities.

Non-profit, ecommerce, impact investing, and/or international experience a plus
