What the Role Offers:
Before & After School Site Supervisors will increase their experience and expertise in coaching and supporting staff through their solo teaching, lesson plan design and implementation and overall program effectiveness.
This position will support growth and training in areas of youth development and culturally-responsive programming, including best practices in racial equity and social justice.
Site Supervisors will increase the proficiencies in leading meetings, program budgets, state licensing procedures, conducting performance management directives, providing/receiving constructive feedback, and building sustainable working relationships with families, staff members, and community partners.
About the Role:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising and facilitating Camp Fire Before & After School sequenced, club-style lessons in after school settings for diverse student populations at elementary schools in grades K-5.
During summer months, the Site Supervisor is responsible for supporting Summer Day Camp programs through training, working on-site, performing observations, traveling on field trips and supply/materials coordination.
Other summer duties include developing school year program materials, supporting hiring processes, preparing content and locations for the upcoming school year and assisting with other administrative duties in collaboration with BAS Multi-Site Coordinators and the Department Director to achieve overall program improvement.
The Site Supervisor is responsible helping youth achieve developmental outcomes program participants in academic enrichment and support creative arts, active recreation, community building, community-based learning, social-emotional growth and leadership activities through a trauma-informed lens while partnering with district representatives in an ever-changing direct service climate.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This role will come in contact with students, campers, visitors, vendors and employees.
Each of these persons may have visible and invisible qualities that makes that person unique.

This role requires sustaining an inclusive and equitable learning and working environments by having respectful and considerate behavior, thoughtful and constructive speech to all.
Overseeing all program operations at site as well as supervising the planning and teaching of curriculum that promotes culturally responsive, inclusive, anti-racist learning environments.
Providing timely feedback to site staff members, conducting scheduled formal reviews, tracking yearly site training hours, and creating an environment that is responsive to the communities Camp Fire is a part of.
Managing all administrative functions for the site and site staff including, but not limited to, timecards and edits, handling registration documents, site financial tracking, supply and material organization, and budgeting.
Maintaining Camp Fire values and best practices, licensing standards and ensures program compliance in alignment with all OCC, state, federal, and district compliance regulations.
Organizing all necessary program documents in a way that is prearranged for easy recall and presentation if needed by Camp Fire Leadership, OCC licensing, registration records, court cases.

Job Duties:
Facilitate programming in an after-school setting while maintaining safety, compliance, program expectations and behavior management.
Maintain organized, on-going records as required by the Camp Fire office, state of Oregon Office of Child Care, and School District Partners.
Allocate monthly budget dollars to program supplies and materials, maintains financial tracking and record keeping, and manage task of supply shopping for site.
Collaborate with the site team, program team, registrar, and administration regularly for up-to-date information regarding program participants, changes to schedules, licensing documents, and registration protocols.
Submit all weekly and monthly paperwork to the appropriate outlet according to deadlines.
Support site team members in doing the same.
Work within school policies, rules and expectations and uphold all confidentiality requirements.
Develop positive working relationships with program participants, families and school staff.
Be a role model for positive youth development practices, youth-adult partnerships and mentoring.
Participate in recruitment and retention of program participants.
Learn to market all in-service and full-day programs regardless of location of service.
Participate in outreach to families and coordinate family engagement activities.
Participate in the development, delivery and facilitation of all full-day programs.
Attend Camp Fire meetings and events, including site supervisor meetings and check-ins with the Multi-Site Coordinator and/or Department Director.
Collaborate with community partners, including, but not limited to, SUN School staff, enrichment program leaders/staff, school administration and office staff, and district custodial staff.
Engage in Youth Program Quality Assessment process.
Assist Multi-site Coordinators and Department Director with developing and delivering training for site staff.
Support the mission, purpose, and leadership of Camp Fire; project a positive image of Camp Fire.
Provide clear direction and priorities to direct reports and supports team members in the development of SMART goals.
In accordance with HR policies, conducts frequent informal performance assessment with direct reports, and formal performance assessment three times annually.
Ensure availability to key staff for both structured and more informal, as-needed support and coaching.
Ensure that high expectations and accountability are balanced by fun, compassion, understanding and support.
Lead team-building activities to develop and sustain high staff satisfaction and morale.
Attend Camp Fire meetings and events, as schedule and required.
Maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance for scheduled morning and afternoon shifts while also completing tasks and attending scheduled meetings off site.
Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Display excellent communication skills required in working with coworkers, volunteers, parents, and contractors; including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Respectfully takes direction from supervisor.
Ability to take direction and feedback from team members.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises program teams to meet OCC ratio guidelines.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities while supporting individuals in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; lead performance management and improvement plans; addressing complaints with a solutions-focused orientation.
