RN House Supervisor

RN House Supervisor Job Locations US-OR-The Dalles Overview MCMC’s Clinical Admin Team is seeking candidates to fill an RN House Supervisor.This position involves working 12-hour night shifts, and is not represented by the Oregon Nurse’s Association.

Responsibilities The Supervisor is responsible for nursing operations in the absence of nursing administration and acts as a resource person and coordinator for all nursing care.

Strong leadership, conflict resolution and clinical assessment skills are required.Responsible for the facilitation of a safe environment and a safe level of nursing care through coordination of interdepartmental services, patient placement, clinical support and information flow.

In the absence of administrative management or director level staff, the Nurse Supervisor coordinates contact with outside agencies, public relation activities, policy interpretation, disaster coordination and general problem solving.

Qualifications Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications):Education:ASN from accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.

BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS or ENPC, TNCC or TEAM required.

ICS 100 Hcb, 200,700; ECS 701; 703; 704; 800 Current applicable state RN licensure.Experience:Minimum three years staff nurse experience required.

Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge of clinical and nursing unit function and access to resources both administrative and organizational.Able to perform nursing techniques and procedures included in the nursing skills list and all documented nursing competencies as defined in the designed RN job descriptions.Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Must be self-directed with strong communication skills, and a willingness to lead by example.

Positive interpersonal and negotiation skills.
