https://ift.tt/3coKauK The New Product Development Engineer position is a hands-on technical position responsible for launching new metal injection molded products.

To be successful in this position, you must have experience working on documents and qualifying all processes for new products resulting in PPAP approval of new products.

This role is responsible for working with customers and operations to meet cost and timing requirements and resolving technical issues on existing products.

This position’s responsibilities also include: * Management of new product development activities including: * Preparation and management of project schedules and timelines* Development of supporting documentation* Tooling and Process validation activities (capability studies) and coordination of internal resources to meet program objectives * Provides feedback on DFM in support of new business* Supports corrective action activities (root cause analysis) as needed * Supports process validation and development activities (in support of operations) as directed* Supports LEAN Manufacturing activities as directed Experience and Qualifications: * BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent* 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment* Equivalent combination of knowledge/experience/education may be substituted in lieu of degree of years of experience.* Solid experience and knowledge of the PPAP process as it relates to IATF 16949 and ISO 13485 is required.* Demonstrated ability and experience managing projects* Strong, demonstrated project management skills and time management skills* High mechanical aptitude, particularly in the area of product design* Ability to read blueprints and thorough understanding of GDT* Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences including customers* Ability to work in a team environment and independently* Solid problem-solving skills* Ability to work extended hours as needed* Experience with 3D modeling software* Knowledge of industrial statistics Physical Demands: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.* Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday.

Work Environment: * Work is primarily in an office setting located in a manufacturing plant with some work regularly performed on the factory floor.
