The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC is seeking a Warehouseman for our Portland, OR warehouse.

A warehouseman may be asked to do a variety of tasks that will include, but not limited to, loading and unloading trucks of liquid and dry sugar, weighing trucks in and out, sealing loads, coordinating switches of railcar with the railroad, and making liquid sugar.

Cleaning the warehouse and equipment, cleaning and preparing trucks for unloading, loading of bulk, liquid or bagged sugar, along with other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Foreman.

Qualified candidates need to be dynamic and have the ability to work successfully in a fluid environment as a team player.

Responsibilities:

· Dispatch bulk loads of both liquid and dry sugar products.

· Keep proper documentation on all orders.

· Properly weigh trucks in and out of the facility, making sure that each truck is properly sealed for shipment to the customer.

· Coordinates with the railroad on switches of inbound railcars and properly releasing those cars as product is removed.

· Maintain proper inventory control procedures.

· Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Foreman.

Qualifications:

· Must pass a forklift training class, be familiar with HACCP, GMP, and Safety policies and procedures.

· Be able to climb ladders and not be afraid of heights.

· Must be able to cross train in other jobs to fill in where needed.

· Some lifting required.

Frequent lifting of 50 lbs.

to 75 lbs.

occasional lifting of 100 lbs
