The Quality Systems Engineer will lead and facilitate the implementation of quality management systems, quality initiatives and continuous improvement to support the company quality management system at the Voxtel An Allegro MicroSystems Company in Beaverton, Oregon.
The Quality Systems Engineer will be the site expert in the IATF16949 and ISO9001 quality management system standards and automotive core tools, supporting headquarters.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of Quality Management Systems to meet IATF16949 and ISO9001 Quality standards requirements.
Provide maintenance efforts to sustain certification.
Manage the internal audit program for this manufacturing and design location.
Conduct internal and external quality management system, process and product audits, publish findings, and make recommendations.
Provide guidance, technical expertise and training to other auditor team members.
Functionally lead teams for initiatives to improve the quality management system as well as to improve the tools and software used by the quality systems functions.
Support the Corporate product and environmental compliance team.
Participate in supplier management activities to ensure conformance with quality standards.
Analyze statistics and other data, interpret and evaluate results, and create reports, presentations, and recommendations or proposals.
Support the Corporate Quality and implement quality policies and procedures.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field desired.

– 5 years’ experience in Quality required.
Experience with supporting automotive customers and manufacturing semiconductor parts desired.
IATF16949:2016 internal or supplier auditor certification desired.
Familiarity with ISO9001:2015 required.
Experience as an auditor of internal and external quality management systems.
Skills, Abilities & Competencies:
Ability to make clear presentations and communicate to Allegro management and customers.
Familiarity with VDA, ZVEI and JEDEC standards desired Familiarity with environmental compliance such as RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals standards desired Strong working knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) Comfortable working in an engineering intensive and technical environment.
A strong collaborative outlook, being responsive to requests, reporting issues as they arise and working in a professional, friendly, and timely manner throughout all levels and departments within the organization is required.
Comfortable working in a matrixed organization with the Corporate office.
Motivated ‘self-starter’ working without close supervision, but seeks advice when needed.
