Job Summary
The Group Leader directs the activities of production team within a cleanroom environment or general production area.
Responsible for training and monitoring of personnel.
Monitors the work of the team and monitors results.
Supports short and long range goals consistent with manufacturing management, production teams and the company.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Train and monitor subordinate colleagues.
Provide leadership and direction to team members.
Assist Supervisor in daily routine items and production problems whenever possible.
Assist Manager in absence of the Supervisor.
Understand the need to deliver quality product and demonstrate a commitment to quality.
Promote and enforce a clean, safe and organized work environment.
Insure the product is processed through the department effectively and efficiently.
Enforce company rules and policies.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Coaching and Developing Others
– Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
Encourage teamwork.
Develop a cross-train work force.
Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
Rework / Sort lots per Non-conformance disposition.
Maintain regular attendance.
Follow clean room protocols for hygiene and gowning.

Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent 2+ years’ experience
Skills and Abilities
Role: Leads, with operational focus in an area of functional expertise.
Responsibility: Accomplishes tasks through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry level exempt employees.
Assignments are received in task oriented terms.
Scope: Receives pre-determined work assignments with specific instructions.
