Production Manager

BASIC FUNCTIONThe Production Manager is responsible for managing the workflow, print production, and assembly of communication projects for Milliman clients. In addition, the Production Manager is responsible for content changes to client templates, and for managing the total rewards statement process.The position will assist in managing the production staff, daily operations, financial reporting, and will take a lead role in developing new media solutions.The Production Specialist is a member of the Milliman Fulfillment Center group, which is a self-service print and fulfillment shop that services multiple Milliman offices. The Fulfillment Center is a part of the Human Resource Communication business unit within the Milliman Employee Benefits Administration Practice.RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION* Assist the Fulfillment Center Manager with daily operations, including the management of production staff (including regular and temporary staff) and serving as the Manager’s backup as needed. Participate in strategic long-term planning and product strategy meetings as assigned.* Assist the Fulfillment Center Manager with financial reporting and billing. Quote and/or estimate assigned projects including printing, fulfillment and logistics.* Use Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite software to create client-specific documents with an eye for detail and accuracy. Update existing client materials (text and graphics) with new content based on changes in benefit plan design or 401(k) investment fund changes. Assist with communication initiatives as requested.* Keep apprised and knowledgeable of new media trends and innovations. Consider how to integrate such new concepts into current projects. Proactively present recommendations to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery to Milliman clients.* Manage the production workflow to ensure work is delivered on budget, on time and with the highest level of service and quality. Participate in project planning, maintain master production schedule, manage the delivery of scheduled participant curriculums and monitor production timelines.* Build relationships with client’s internal stakeholders and other Milliman employees in order to successfully execute each project.* Manage total rewards statement process, including developing and managing the project plan, data requirements and content; coordinating receipt of data from all data sources; managing the data merge; auditing data/statements and managing print, fulfillment and mailing.* Stay accountable for meeting the Milliman Fulfillment Center’s production and quality goals, as well as playing a key role in meeting the companywide profitability and client satisfaction goals.
