Backend Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of a Backend Software Engineer in Beaverton, OR. Summary: As a Backend Software Engineer on the Planning Engineering team, you will play an integral role on a diverse set of solutions, from supporting ‘in production’ Brand Architecture systems to developing new APIs and integrations with other Marketing technologies, including Reporting and Analytics. In this role, you will be:

• Designing, developing, and implementing highly available, scalable systems, focusing on highly visible marketing initiatives
• Contributing ideas for new features and identifying areas for improvement
• Collaborating with upstream and downstream technical teams to develop integrations, providing a seamless flow of data across the eco system
• Providing technical expertise and best engineering practices to continuously deliver working software
• Writing clean, tested, and well-documented code and participating in peer code reviews

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Academic background in Computer Science (BS or MS) or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years of experience developing highly scalable applications, APIs, and services
• Must be fluent with Java
• Must be fluent with Spring boot or Spring framework
• Experience using cloud platforms and its services (AWS: SNS, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB)

Demonstrable experience of:

• Spring boot with Gradle or Maven
• Terraform or CloudFormation
• Docker
• Jenkins
• Unit, integration, automation, regression, validation tests
• Git
• Linux
• Microservice Architecture
• Ability to work closely with Product Managers and other development teams
• Self-starter with a passion for technology and a burning desire to constantly improve yourself, the product, and the codebase
• Experience estimating work, planning, organization and implementing complex software projects
• Nice to have experience: JavaScript and React
