What you get to do every day

– Oversee and manage debits and credits for benefit contributions

– Organize a structured method to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures

– Communicate regularly with union reps, policy holders, and other key stakeholders via email and phone correspondence

– Review payments received and record deposits

– Uphold quality historical records by filing documents

– Balance accounts by reconciling entries

Job Requirements:

– 1+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Assistant

– Journal entries experience

– Demonstrated knowledge of benefits administration

– Customer service experience

– Previous experience using accounting software
